Corruption Fast

One day, in my friends group, while we were discussing about the different problmes bugging the growth of our Country, Corruption emerged as the prominent bug. Almost everybody gets involved in this Corruption Cycle, willingly or unwillingly, voluntarily or forciably. One has to offer money to get his work done, while some one has to be a part of group/racket, which is some or the other way linked to Corruption. It has gone to an extent that some fanatic people are demanding to make it legal.

While I was just thinking about how this corruption can be controlled, at some later stage, one off beat thought struck to my mind. I thought, though I am not an expert/authority on this subjects, at least, I can share whatever came to my mind, with others.

Its something like this. We in India, follow many religious rituals, by utmost faith. One such ritual is Fasting. So I thought, why not suggest keeping a Fast for Corruption? The idea is, one has to maintain Corruption fast as like religious fast, either weekly once, monthly once, or for a month in a year, whatever format. One can either make it open to public or keep it private that he is maintaining such a fast. On the Corruption Fast day, the person has to avoid getting involved in any way with Corruption transactions. Dont give/accept bribe for any type of work on this day. Announcing to public will help in a way, people will not force you to get indulged in such transactions. Slowly it will get accepted as a Social standard. It may not eradicate Corruption, but I hope it will surely reduce the percentage of it. It will give a strong support to people who are unwillingly/forciably dragged into Corruption Cycles.
